Uspacy MCP Server: What it is and how it works

In this article, you'll learn what the Uspacy MCP Server is, how it connects AI assistants to your Workspace, and what actions you can perform using the available MCP tools.

The Uspacy MCP Server allows you to connect Uspacy to ChatGPT, Claude, or any other AI service that supports remote MCP servers.

Once connected, your AI assistant can access available Workspace data and perform supported actions. For example, it can find deals and contacts, create tasks, add comments, or move CRM records between funnel stages.

Use the following server URL to connect:

https://mcp.uspacy.com/mcp

Note: The AI assistant can only access data and perform actions that are exposed through the Uspacy MCP Server tools.

What is MCP?

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a protocol that enables AI services to interact with external systems.

With MCP, an AI assistant can do more than answer questions based on a chat conversation. It can retrieve data from connected services and perform actions within them.

An MCP integration consists of three components:

  • MCP client — the AI service where the user enters prompts, such as ChatGPT or Claude.
  • MCP server — the component that exposes Uspacy tools to the AI service.
  • Uspacy — the system where your business data is stored and where requested actions are executed.

For example, when a user asks the AI assistant to create a task, the assistant selects the appropriate MCP tool, sends the required data, and the Uspacy MCP Server creates the task in the Workspace.

How does the Uspacy MCP Server work?

After connecting the Uspacy MCP Server, the AI assistant receives a list of available tools. Each tool performs a specific operation, such as searching data, retrieving a record, creating a task, or updating a CRM item.

The process works as follows:

1. Connect the Uspacy MCP Server to a compatible AI service.

2. The AI service retrieves the list of available MCP tools.

3. Describe the action you want to perform in natural language.

4. The AI assistant selects the appropriate tool.

5. The Uspacy MCP Server processes the request in your Workspace.

6. The AI assistant returns the result.

For example, instead of manually searching your CRM, you can simply ask:

Find the contact in Uspacy with the email address [email protected].

Or create a task by saying:

Create a task named "Prepare a commercial proposal" with a due date of tomorrow at 3:00 PM.

A request can be completed depends on two factors: whether the required operation is supported by the available MCP tools; whether your prompt includes enough information for the AI assistant to complete the action.

What MCP tools are available?

The Uspacy MCP Server includes 25 tools for working with activities, comments, CRM, tasks, search, and users.

Tool names are displayed in English in MCP client settings.

Activities

Two tools are available:

  • Activities create — creates a new activity.
  • Activities list — retrieves a list of activities.

These tools allow the AI assistant to find scheduled activities or create new events with a specified date and time.

Comments

Two tools are available:

  • Comments create — adds a new comment.
  • Comments list — retrieves a list of comments.

These tools allow you to view existing comments or add new comments to supported Uspacy records.

CRM

Twelve CRM tools are available:

  • Crm create item — creates a new CRM record.
  • Crm get item — retrieves a specific CRM record.
  • Crm list companies — lists companies.
  • Crm list contacts — lists contacts.
  • Crm list deals — lists deals.
  • Crm list entities — lists available CRM entities.
  • Crm list fields — lists fields for a selected CRM entity.
  • Crm list funnels — lists funnels.
  • Crm list items — lists records for a selected CRM entity.
  • Crm list leads — lists leads.
  • Crm move to stage — moves a CRM record to another stage.
  • Crm update item — updates a CRM record.

These tools allow the AI assistant to search CRM data, create new records, and update existing ones. For example, it can retrieve available funnels, determine the correct stage, and move a deal accordingly.

One tool is available:

  • Search global — performs a global search across Uspacy.

This tool is useful when the user doesn't specify a particular module or record type.

Tasks

Five task management tools are available:

  • Tasks complete — marks a task as completed.
  • Tasks create — creates a new task.
  • Tasks get — retrieves task details.
  • Tasks list — retrieves a list of tasks.
  • Tasks update — updates an existing task.

These tools enable the AI assistant to create, review, update, and complete tasks.

Users

Three user management tools are available:

  • Users get — retrieves information about a specific user.
  • Users list — retrieves Workspace users.
  • Users me — retrieves information about the currently authenticated user.

These tools help identify the appropriate employee, for example when assigning a task or CRM record.

The available tools support a wide range of workflows.

For example, you can:

  • find contacts, companies, leads, and deals;
  • retrieve details of a specific CRM record;
  • browse CRM entities, fields, funnels, and stages;
  • create and update CRM records;
  • move leads and deals between stages;
  • create activities;
  • view activities and comments;
  • add comments;
  • create and update tasks;
  • mark tasks as completed;
  • find Workspace users;
  • perform global searches.

For best results, include relevant details in your prompt, such as the record name, responsible person, deadline, funnel stage, or other important parameters. This helps the AI assistant identify the correct MCP tool and execute your request accurately.

How to connect the Uspacy MCP Server?

The setup process depends on the AI service you use. In most cases, you'll need to:

  • Add a new MCP server connection.
  • Enter the Uspacy MCP Server URL.
  • Sign in to your Uspacy account.
  • Grant access to the available MCP tools.

For detailed instructions, see the articles:

After setup is complete, your AI service will have access to all 25 Uspacy MCP tools.

How does the Uspacy MCP Server improve your workflow?

The Uspacy MCP Server lets you work with Workspace data without constantly switching between modules. Simply describe what you want in natural language, and the AI assistant determines which of the available MCP tools to use before sending the request to Uspacy.

This makes it faster to find contacts, companies, leads, deals, tasks, and activities, retrieve record details, create new records, and update existing ones. For example, the AI assistant can locate a deal, display related information, create a task for the responsible employee, or move the deal to another funnel stage.

By reducing manual navigation and repetitive actions, the MCP Server streamlines common workflows. Instead of opening multiple modules, configuring filters, and searching for records manually, you can simply ask the AI assistant and review the results.

The Uspacy MCP Server is especially valuable when you need information from multiple Workspace modules or want to perform several related actions within a single request. As always, the AI assistant's capabilities depend on the available MCP tools and the information provided in your prompt.
